ACH 219 - Construction Contract Administration3 credit hours - One hour lecture and four hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Examine the construction contract document set from a contractor’s point of view. Review and interpret construction contracts and conditions, specifications and drawings. Explore the legality of the construction document set from bidding requirements through contract changes. Examine the relationship between the project manual and construction drawings. Lab fee $30.
Prerequisite(s): ACH 122 or permission of the department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify and analyze the seven-part construction document set.
- Interpret drawings and specifications.
- Apply cross-referencing within construction drawings.
- Identify and explain construction materials in the drawing set.
- Interpret and apply provisions of construction contract agreements and conditions.
- Process submittal requirements from trade contractors and manufacturers.
- Process construction change directives and change orders.
- Organize construction documents, correspondence, submittals and reports.
- Interpret the legality of construction documents in the construction contract.
