ART 275 - Digital Arts Internship

3 credit hours - One hour seminar, eight hours related work experience weekly; one term.
Acquire practical experience in a work environment related to the fields of graphic design, Web design, game development or media productions. Set internship objectives jointly with instructor and supervising employer.

Prerequisite(s): 15 credit hours of Digital Arts courses with a grade of “C” or better, or permission of department chair.

Location(s) Typically Offered: Arnold Main Campus (MC) and Online (OL)

Term(s) Typically Offered: Fall and spring

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Prepare a professional resume, cover letter, and portfolio of work samples.
  2. Present yourself successfully as an intern/employee.
  3. Work as a contributing member of your employer’s staff.
  4. Understand what it is like to work within your industry as a creative professional.
  5. Acquire new skills, experiences and refine existing skills/knowledge.
  6. Complete required work hours and presentations.
