BPA 113 - Personal Finance3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This course meets the Social and Behavioral Sciences General Education Requirement.
Examine the concepts and practical application of managing personal finances, including budgeting, credit, housing, insurance, investments and retirement planning.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply personal finance principles to make sound financial decisions related to managing resources, credit, careers, risk, investment and savings.
- Identify and analyze current economic trends to make sound financial decisions relating to managing resources, credit, careers, risk, investment and savings.
- Apply consumer rights and responsibilities to make prudent and ethical decisions regarding personal consumption.
- Examine the effects of widespread financial behavioral trends on social phenomena such as recessions, banking crises or stock market fluctuations.
