BIO 232 - Human Biology 24 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. This course meets the Biological and Physical Sciences General Education Requirement.
Study the anatomy and physiology of the nervous, circulatory, lymphatic, immunity, respiratory, digestion,urinary, reproductive systems and meiosis. Additional topics include body fluid composition, acid-base balance, electrolytes and early human development. Lab fee $20.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 231 and eligibility for ENG 101 /ENG 101A .

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand and apply appropriate terminology as it relates to human anatomical and physiological processes.
- Demonstrate an understanding of microscopic and macroscopic human anatomical structures as represented on models and images.
- Analyze human physiological processes at various levels of biological organization using charts, diagrams, graphs, and tables.
- Evaluate scientific information, analyze data, and solve problems.
5. Apply knowledge of relationships among human organ systems.
