BPA 171 - Principles of Supervision

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
Explore the role and responsibilities of a successful supervisor in today’s diverse workplace. Topics include planning, motivation, decision-making, conflict resolution, communicating effectively, discipline and counseling, and selecting, training and appraising employees.

  1. Describe the basic skills needed of a supervisor.

  1. Describe the supervisor’s role in the employee selection and development process.
