                   CJS 109 - Police Discipline and Organization1 credit hour - 15 hours; one week.           Learn policies and standards regarding academic and conduct performance, comprehensive testing, and training requirements of the Anne Arundel Community College Police Entrance Level Training Program. Develop basic military-style discipline and protocol required in a police organization. Examine military close order drill, rank structure, chain of command, military courtesy and police disciplinary procedures.

  Course Outcomes:  Upon conclusion of this course, the student will be able to:
	- Identify the requirements for receiving and maintaining certification as a law enforcement officer in the State of Maryland.
 
	- Identify and describe the consequences of a law enforcement officer performing official duties without a valid certification from the Police Training Commission in the State of Maryland.
 
	- Identify resources which help an officer maintain knowledge of law enforcement work.
 
	- Identify the importance of discipline to an efficient quasi-military organization, such as a police department.
