ECO 232 - Business Statistics3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Examine data and apply statistical analysis as an aid in business decision-making. Study includes but is not limited to, basic descriptive statistics, normal distribution and z-scores, sampling, one-sample and two-sample hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, regression and correlation analysis.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for any general education math course.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe data, use software to summarize and illustrate data, and interpret data to aid decision-making in business and other contexts.
- Identify appropriate statistical procedures to perform analyses that aid decision-making in business and other contexts.
- Use computers and software to import data from files or other sources and export results.
- Develop confidence intervals and perform hypothesis tests for mean and proportion parameters with and without the use of statistical software.
- Test hypotheses regarding two or more variables using t-tests, ANOVA techniques, regression analysis, and other tests with the help of statistical software.
