Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Describe each of the six types of involvement of Joyce Epstein’s Parent/Family Model
Measure and analyze school, family and community partnerships in their local center, school or related setting.
Examine and revise, if necessary, current mission and philosophy statements of their childcare center and/or school to include a commitment to parent/family involvement in all six standards.
Develop an action team for successful home-school partnerships.
Apply knowledge and research in each of the six types of involvement to the development of a comprehensive written action plan related to parent/family involvement.
