Learn the physical and mental health events that confront women in our society. Investigate disease and stress ailments particular to women in our ever-changing world.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Examine societal issues that affect women’s health.
2. Develop skills for changing and improving one’s health status.
3. Explain reproductive structure and function of the male/female system.
4. Explain pregnancy health and risk.
5. Explain risky health behaviors as they relate to wellness.
6. Describe dimensions of wellness as they relate to women’s health.
7. Describe health conditions specific to women.
8. Apply knowledge of personal safety, self esteem and body image to improve overall wellness.
