Examine the Vietnam War and its effect on American society, politics and culture. Explore the conflicting values and political decisions that affected Americans in a time of turmoil and change.

Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for ENG 101 /ENG 101A .

Course Outcomes:

Acquire knowledge of what led up to America’s involvement in Vietnam.
- Know the geography and general history of Vietnam.
- Understand the conditions that prevailed in Vietnam during the French control.
Understand the United States government’s commitment to the War.
