SPT 232 - Sport Psychology3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Explore the field of sport and exercise psychology. Topics include the psychological aspects of competitive and recreational sports with emphasis on current psychological theories and field research.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 111 or permission of department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Acquire knowledge of the psychological factors that influence participation and performance in sport, exercise, and physical education settings.

- Assess and appraise the importance of specific psychological factors in different settings, from competitive to recreational sport.
