HEB 111 - Elementary Hebrew 13 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement.
Introduction to basics of pronunciation and grammar necessary for reading, writing and conversing in Hebrew. This course is not designed for persons who have experience with the Hebrew language.
Note: Not for native speakers.
Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
a. Demonstrate correct usage of Hebrew grammatical structures at a high elementary level.
b. Use home-, work-, and weather-related vocabulary in the target language.
c. Demonstrate reading and writing skills at a high elementary level.
d. Demonstrate oral communication skills at a high elementary level.
e. Discuss elements of Israeli culture.
