ENG 227H - Literary Nonfiction - Honors3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This is an honors course.
This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement.
Study representative readings in literary nonfiction. Discuss types of nonfiction writing, literary traditions and style, including the Personal Essay, Literary Journalism, Nature/Science writing, the Literary Memoir, Travel Writing and Humor. Complete and present an honors capstone research project that extends beyond the classroom.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for Honors courses and ENG 101 /ENG 101A or permission of department chair.
