EMT 100 - Uh Oh! What do I do?1 credit hour - 1.5 hours weekly; one term Explore the knowledge, skills, and abilities to render basic care to a sick or injured person until trained help arrives. Learn and demonstrate CPR/AED Family and Friends standards, Stop the Bleed training, and basic first aid with what you have in your house or outside. Create basic evacuation plans for your home or business. Learn personal safety in the event of local emergencies such as hurricanes, flooding, tornadoes, and earthquakes. Lab fee $50.

Course Outcomes:
1. Identify practices that assure personal wellness and safety.
2. Activate the E911 system to facilitate definitive patient care.
3. Create a basic evacuation plan for their home or workplace.
4. Implement a basic care plan for medical and traumatic emergencies.
5. Initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to achieve quick entrance into the chain of survival including Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) use and CPR teamwork.
