SPA 260 - Oral Proficiency Interview Preparation1 credit hour - Thirteen hours lecture, four hours lab; one term Prepare for the Oral Proficiency Interview. Review and expand both vocabulary and grammatical structures required to hold predictable and concrete conversations within the target culture. Converse at a level that is easily understood by sympathetic interlocutor accustomed to dealing with non-native speakers.
Prerequisite(s): Twelve credits of SPA at the 200-level or permission from the department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Comprehend a sympathetic Spanish-speaking interlocutor.
2. Respond with minimal pauses to predictable and concrete questions from a sympathetic Spanish-speaking interlocutor.
3. Express thoughts in Spanish in a manner that can be understood by a sympathetic Spanish-speaking interlocutor.
4. Interact in Spanish at a level consistent with that of someone who achieves a ranking of Intermediate Mid or higher on the Oral Proficiency Interview.
