KOR 212 - Intermediate Korean 23 credit hours - Three hours lecture weekly; one term. Master intermediate vocabulary and grammar structures. Read short poetry and short fiction in Korean. Discuss Korean culture.
Prerequisite(s): KOR 211 or three years of high school Korean or permission of department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain the main idea and flow of events expressed in various time frames in conversations, discussions, and paragraph-length fictional texts.
- Exchange information in conversations on familiar topics and some researched topics, creating sentences and series of sentences and asking a variety of follow-up questions.
- Present a variety of familiar topics and some concrete topics I have researched, using sentences and series of connected sentences through spoken and written language.
- Combine a variety of grammar structures and vocabulary to respond to mid-intermediate level writing, and speaking prompts.
- Formulate comparisons between Korean culture’s cultural products, practices, and perspectives and those of my own
