About Skilled Trade Degrees

Purpose: 

This program offers an opportunity for students who have completed a Maryland Department of Labor (MDOL) registered apprenticeship program and earned an industry certification and/or license, a path to a degree by the award of college credit. This program is not intended for transfer, but allows students to customize their program based on their requirements.  Previous successfully completed college work may be applied to requirements where applicable.

Students are required to present proof of completion of MDOL registered apprenticeship and licensure or industry certification in order to obtain the 12 credit hours required in a single discipline for the program requirements needed for this degree. The area of concentration, small business management, requires completion of 21 hours of courses.
