EMT 213 - EMT-Intermediate to Paramedic Bridge 3

Focuses on the pathophysiology in the pre-hospital management of the acutely ill or injured patients. Promotes critical thinking in the management of the patient experiencing medical emergencies and multisystem trauma.

Prerequisite(s): EMT 200 , EMT 201 and EMT 202 .

Corequisite(s): EMT 210 and EMT 214 .

Course Outcomes:

Develop and implement a patient management plan for a patient experiencing a critical medical emergency based on assessment findings.
Implement a treatment plan for a patient experiencing an acute exacerbation of a chronic condition.
Develop and implement a patient management plan based on field assessment of the patient with a major trauma emergency.
