PSY 214 - Abnormal Psychology3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This course meets the Social and Behavioral Sciences General Education Requirement. This course meets the Diversity Requirement.
Learn about mental disorders, including an examination of causes, symptoms, treatment and management. Study anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders and schizophrenia. Explore problems in the field of abnormal psychology and discuss current attempts to solve them.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 111 or PSY 111H or permission of department chair.

- Explain the relationship between the law and the mental health profession.
