ASL 211 - American Sign Language 43 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Build upon the skills learned from ASL 210 American Sign Language 3 , utilizing two to three role shifts, anecdotes, information sharing and rules explanation. Define and describe settings, and the function of objects, processes, and cause and effect. Discuss cultural norms and values of the deaf community.
Prerequisite(s): ASL 210 with a grade of C or better.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Utilize role shifting while retelling dialogues.
- Utilize spatial agreement between locations, classifiers, and time.
- Elaborate descriptions, thoughts, and reasons.
- Organize information that introduces “the big picture” first.
- Analyze and compare cultural, driving, and game rules.
- Utilize classifiers and conditional phrases for rule explanation.
- Incorporate reactions and opinions in narratives.
- Provide feedback to peers on sign production and grammatical structures.
- Improve spatial perceptions based on points of view.
