ECO 270 - Data and Analysis Project Seminar2 credit hours - Two hours weekly, one term Practice the steps that occur before and after a business analytics, such as proposing projects to address a concern, determining data needs, preparing reports for an appropriate audience, interpreting reports, and recommending action. Test hypotheses with data related to human resource management, productivity, and marketing. Lab fee $35.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify processes, behaviors, or results that can be improved with the help of a data analysis project.
- Develop an informal proposal for an analysis project that could be conducted by a programmer or statistician.
- Read and interpret analysis reports concerning one-sample hypothesis tests, comparisons of two or more samples, and linear regressions with categorical variables, and logistic regressions.
- Apply results of analysis reports to improve decision making in business, policymaking, or other professional contexts.
