DAN 222 - Intermediate Modern Dance 22 credit hours - One hour of lecture and two hours of studio weekly; one term. Continue exploration and development of modern dance technique, both abstract and thematic material within complex combinations. May be repeated once for a total of four credit hours.
Prerequisite(s): DAN 211 or DAN 221 or DAN 231 or permission of department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop fluency in contemporary/modern dance techniques.
- Increase strength and range of mobility.
- Demonstrate self awareness and awareness of others when performing and engaging in group activities.
- Establish consistency of daily studio practice.
- Develop own movement style.
- Identify different modern ideas and concepts in choreography.
