ENG 205 - Creative Writing: Portfolio Development2 credit hours - Two lecture hours weekly; one term. Prepare a representative portfolio, with the guidance of a faculty mentor, of the work completed in creative writing classes. This course is intended only for students completing the AA in Fine Arts -Creative Writing Option program. This course should be taken during the student’s final semester in the program.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 200 and two of the following: ENG 201 , ENG 202 , ENG 203 , ENG 204 or permission of the department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of their own creative work.
- Apply critical principles to select and organize a portfolio of their best work.
- Revise their selected work by integrating critique from instructor into their revision process.
- Articulate common themes and techniques in their work.
- Contextualize their existing work into their continuing development as a writer.
