SGT 208 - Perspectives of Surgical Technology2 credits - 30 hours of lecture; eight weeks Prepare for entry into the workforce as surgical technologists. Prepare for and take the national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam.
Prerequisite(s): SGT 108 and SGT 201 with grades of C or better.
Corequisite(s): SGT 202 and SGT 206 .

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Discuss current issues and trends in the profession of surgical technology.
- Identify factors that will contribute to development into a professional surgical technologist.
- Analyze the relationship between accountability and liability for one’s actions as a surgical technologist.
- Prepare a professional resume and exhibit appropriate interview skills.
- Sit for the national Certified Surgical Technologist exam (CST).
